An impending tropical storm has put more than a million people in Hawaii under a state of urgency
Caribbean Storm The National Weather Service (NWS) stated that Calvin is approaching Hawaii's Big Island with a wind speed of 45 mph (75 km/h).
The storm was roughly 250 miles (402 km) southwest of Honolulu as of Wednesday morning.
Officials have warned of possible flash flooding and mudslides.
The storm, which could bring severe surf and damaging winds, is anticipated to pass south of Hawaii County by Wednesday evening
Through Thursday, it is expected to rain up to 10 inches.
